About Sea Salt Nutrition
In 2017 I started a journey of following a lifestyle of LCHF. No matter how active you are, if your eating habits are not healthy, your body will not respond. The information we have Been given with regard to nutrition is not accurate. My focus moving forward is to teacher and demonstrate how simple it is to cook for ourselves and our families to incorporate food that is local, seasonal and sustainable in to our lives. With 25 years in the food and travel industry as a yacht chef and caterer, the move to nutrition was subtle but necessary. We are confused by the Dietary guidelines, we need to educate ourselves, by finding doctors and health professionals that are working with patients that are thriving on this healthy lifestyle and coming off medications for all of these metabolic syndromes.

BASICS OF LCHF
-
It’s about eating when hungry and stopping when satisfied.
-
Eat clean, fresh, real food. Do not eat processed or pre-packaged
foods.
-
Do not eat more than three meals a day; there is no rule dictating
which time of the day you should eat or that you have to eat all
three meals.
-
Do not have sweeteners in your coffee or tea; go cold turkey if you
want to see results.
-
Drink water throughout the day, but only when you are thirsty.
-
Make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals. If you
experience energy loss in the beginning, you may supplement.
-
Do not drink any sodas, fruit juices or powdered mixes.
-
Do not snack between meals.
-
What works for you may not necessarily work for others. We are all
unique.
-
Eat vegetables. They make up most of your allowed carbohydrates
for the day.
-
Avoid counting calories. In the beginning you want to consume
less fat to give your body the opportunity to use its stored fat for
fuel.
